Introduction to PSSSB and its Role

Punjab Subordinate Service Selection Board known as PSSSB or Punjab SSSB works for Punjab State Government. Punjab SSSB conducts examinations and interviews to recruit fresh and eligible candidates to fill up various vacant seats in different Departments of the Punjab Government.

Recent Notification for 2200 Vacancies

PSSSB has recently issued a Notification for recruitment to fill 2200 vacancies in the Pay Scales of Rs. 10300-34800 for Clerks (1759 Posts), Data Entry Operators (6 Posts) & Steno-Typist (421 Posts) with an additional Grade Pay of Rs. 3200 and Junior Scale Stenographer (14 Posts) with an additional Grade Pay of Rs. 3600.

Eligibility Criteria for PSSSB Jobs

All eligible candidates can submit their online application form at www.punjabsssb.gov.in till 5.00 PM on the 27th September, 2016, the last date. The online Application Submission has started from 7th September, 2016.

The candidates applying for these PSSSB jobs should be within the age limit of 18 to 37 years. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per rules of the Punjab government.

Educational Requirements and Experience

Applicants should have Graduation Degree from any recognized University/ Institution as per UGC guidelines and should have studied Punjabi up to Matriculation. Candidate must also have one hundred and twenty hours experience in the use of Personal Computer on Information Technology OR should have ‘O’ Level certificate in Computer Information Technology.

PSSSB Examination Structure and Components

The examination shall be Subjective for Language Proficiency & General Knowledge and Objective for Mental Ability & Mathematical Skills.
