Madhya Pradesh Police, a disciplined, efficient and loyal force; is an important Law enforcing agency serving 24 x 7 x 365 days to render justice, safety and security to all its citizens. MP Police takes the lead by relying heavily on community oriented policing in order to bolster confidence. It is proud of its achievements. It has always been in frontline organizations in the area of information technology. Preserving law and order is unquestionably important; and it is objective of M P Police to win unforced confidence and cooperation of the people. It is expects that the people instinctively turn to the police with the confident expectation of sympathetic assistance, and always look upon the police as their friend and protector. It believes that not unwillingly by fear but by trust alone the foundation of an efficient police system can be securely built. Loyalty and service is motto of M P Police, and for it satisfaction of duty well done is best reward to its personnel. In this spirit alone police plays its part in the vast scheme of national development towards building a welfare state. The officers and men in Police face the future in this spirit. It is by fostering a tradition of unflinching devotion to duty and patriotic service that this institution is striving to fulfill its density.
Madhya Pradesh Police has taken various innovative initiatives in the past; such as the concept of Village Defense Society involving people in Community policing was first introduced in 1956 in M.P. in the dacoity (an act of violent robbery committed by an armed gang) infested area with the express purpose of enlisting the cooperation of the villages in the fight against the dreaded dacoits. These societies have the primary responsibility in their respective villages of protection of people and their property as well as maintenance of peace and harmony. At the outset such defense societies were first established in Gwalior, Bhind and Morena districts. Subsequently this was extended to Shivpuri, Datia, Guna, Rewa, and Sagar districts as well.
Madhya Pradesh Police also initiated Community Policing Schemes as under:
- Parivar Paramarsh Kendra (Family Counseling Centers)
- Nagar Suraksha Samiti (Town Defense Committee)
- De-Addiction Camp
- Gram Suraksha Samiti (Village Defense Committee)
- Mobile Police Thana
- Bal Mitra Scheme
- Community Policing Centers
- Medical Relief to injured persons
- Police help for the Visually impaired
Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board, Bhopal has invited applications for 611 posts of Subedars & Sub-Inspectors in M P Police. Eligible candidates may apply online from August 01, 2017 to August 30, 2017, the last date; at VYAPAM official website such as www.vyapam.nic.in & www.peb.mp.gov.in and www.mponline.gov.in. The Online Examinations shall be conducted from October 22, 2017 to October 29, 2017.
Selection will be based on the following process:
Stage I: Written Examination:
- Efficiency in Hindi and English Languages – 100 Marks/ 120 Minutes
- General Knowledge – 100 Marks/ 120 Minutes
Total – 200 Marks
Stage II: Physical Proficiency Test: – 100 Marks
Stage III: Interview:- 20 Marks + 5 Marks Bonus
