Little did we know two in 2020 that an invisible monster would bring the entire world to a standstill and force nations to bend on their knees. One fine day the predator surfaced from the darkest corner of this planet and started dictating its terms. Like the good old gladiators who decimated lesser Romans, this virus created havoc and instability. Viruses are known for changing their strands, and the possibility of them coming back has now become a new normal.
Strategic failure of Business Schools
Darwin’s theory of evolution suggests that the most adaptive species have the best chance to survive, and others will gradually perish. While applying the rationale of Darwin’s theory, consider the case of educational institutions and ponder whether many of them are even fit to exist in this VUCA world full of disruptions! Sadly no. Many business schools still do not have an agile curriculum to mitigate the risk of such disorders. Isn’t this the most strategic failure for the ones who teach “Strategy” in classes?
Agile Leadership at Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur (IMT Nagpur)
IMT Nagpur transitioned in no time and embraced the new norm by focusing on “Agility” and “Innovative minds.” Close encounters of the third kind (maybe the fourth time in the near future) have taught our faculty to groom leaders who can drive through these imperatives. We believe the “Agile Model” of leadership style is the most suitable model at this hour and equips students with lifelong learning. Every student has an aspiration that is embedded with hope and trust, and each of them, as a primary stakeholder, is unique in their strengths and challenges. IMT Nagpur faculty’s job is to nurture focused learning in response to the student’s expectations.
The agile leadership style combines four modes of leadership traits which includes Technical Leadership, Cooperative Leadership, Collaborative Leadership, and Generative Leadership in that order. We have risen to this occasion and made our faculty an expert without micro-management and undue intervention. IMT Nagpur is an NBA & SAQS Accredited institution, and its programs are equivalent to MBA as per AIU. We attract students who value our analytical bias and focus on critical thinking. Here every faculty has moved beyond the usual management education pedagogy and instead uses the power of innovative thinking and agile leadership to hone smart decisions making abilities. As we strongly believe in the value of quality and creative education for preparing responsible citizens, our placement record and rankings on diverse platforms as a “Top Business School” establishes our credentials to be reckoned with. Further, as global competitiveness has become crucial for success, the route taken by us includes optional foreign visits by students and teaching through world-class cases and live projects.
Critical thinking is the key at IMTN
We have successfully introduced many of our own innovations in management education, and these have ensured that an educational experience at IMT Nagpur is truly transformational. Besides a world-class application-driven curriculum focusing on agile leadership that makes liberal use of simulations and cases, the two-year AICTE-approved PGDM Programs at IMT Nagpur are full of continuous live projects and internships with leading corporate.
One needs to develop all the traits for agile leadership with innovative thinking abilities and not just hold a Management Degree to be successful. At IMT Nagpur, we make all possible efforts to ensure that our students develop the required managerial skills and create a bright future here on the campus itself before walking out with heads high on the completion of the program.
For us, the ethos of a Leader, the attitude of an Innovator, and the Agility and Vision of a student matter the most, and therefore best of the Corporate from India and MNCs are repeat recruiters at IMT Nagpur with impressive average annual CTC of Rs. 10.37 lacs and above.
