Vision is Culmination & Combination of Passion, Purpose & Vision

Passion, Purpose and Vision are the words used interchangeably and it’s interesting because although all three are different, they all align and gather into the same equation to coexist. Passion is what you love to do, your purpose is connected to your passion, you make passions your purpose, visualize the steps you need to take, and act on them. Passion is the fuel we use to take action, delivering us to our vision. In fact, passion is created inside of vision and receives direction from it. What lights passion on fire is the spark that ignites our vision! You have a passion of, say, joining Civil Services, make your passion your purpose, visualise the steps you need to take to prepare, and act on them and achieve this purpose by having a very clear vision to be successful. These are the three ingredients to do great things rather three step process to salvage your sanity and success, and it all starts with passion.

Passion is strong and barely controllable emotion or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm or desire for anything because these link directly to the formulation of your clear vision for the future. The passion is embedded within. The passion and awakening fuels your drive to make it happen no matter what. If you are not passionate about the idea, it will probably fail. Every person has some passion in life, it may either relate to his career or may be sports, or painting, or helping others. Whatever it is that fires you up inside, take the second step and envision it. Passion is the fire that burns and energizes you to pursue your purpose.  That sparks your interest, fires up your emotions.  Our passions keep us engaged with fulfilling our purpose.  But unrestrained passion can burn us up or burn us out.  Our values keep passion moving in a productive path toward fulfilling our purpose.  Core values are those essential truths that you would live and die for.  They are values because their worth is unquestioned.  Integrity, empathy, respect, leadership are each values we are passionate about and keep us aligned with our purpose.

Purpose is the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists. Purpose is the “why” – the reason to do what you do and that you believe you were uniquely designed to accomplish. The sense of purpose is the driving force of your life. Your purpose in life can be financial, physical, mental, part of a recovery or anything of that sort. Purpose is all about the end result of getting it done. It involves the doing rather than the seeing or feeling. Purpose is the action that we take after a vision is formed. People may mistake vision with purpose. You have a vision, a dream, and the purpose is your substance, your outcome. Once you reach your purpose, you can’t just stop. It is a cycle.

Vision is an experience of seeing someone or something in a dream or trance, or as a supernatural apparition. Vision can be, and often is, interpreted as a random dream. But a vision is something that really matters to you and deep down you know you want to happen. Vision is what we see through feeling. It’s what we create through listening to our hearts. Vision focuses on the process, not the end result. Our visions set us free because in our minds, they are limitless. The vision is what calls and inspires us. The purpose is what makes the vision a reality, and the passion is the fuel inside of the vision that feeds the purpose all the way to the finish line. Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside awakens. According to Jonathan Swift, “Vision is the art of seeing things invisible”.

Finally, your vision is the culmination and combination of all the three.  Your vision captures your heart and mind and takes you into the future where you have realized the fulfilment of passion and purpose.  Your vision allows you to pursue the impossible, to dream big and achieve amazing results.

Structure your passion, purpose and vision one step at a time. Set small goals to lead you closer to your purpose. And once you have reached it, create another one. Have as many purposes as you like, either simultaneously or one at a time. The next step is to take action.
