Invites online applications from eligible candidates for Civil Services Examination–2017
Last Date for Submission of Online Application—March 17, 2017.
Age Limit—A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2017 i.e., he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1985 and not later than 1st August, 1996. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given as per the UPSC norms.
Essential Educational Qualifications—A candidate must hold a degree in any discipline from a government recognized university or educational institution.
Selection Procedure—The competitive examination comprises two successive stages—
(i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) for the selection of candidates for Main Examination; and
(ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts under the Civil Services Examination conducted by the UPSC.
The Preliminary Examination will consist of two compulsory papers of 200 marks each. Both the papers will carry Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions only. The Preliminary Examination will serve the screening purpose only. Successful candidates will be invited for the Main Written Examination. There will be a Personality Test of 275 marks in the end. Final selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Main (Written and Personality Test) Examination.
