Successful people learn from their triumphs and their mistakes and they never stop learning as they are always changing themselves for the better. The obstacles that come in the way can either be an excuse for your failure or can make the story behind your success. Our attitudes play a great role in our life. Every task is an opportunity to practice and improve and skills required to complete the task are always improvable. Each failure should be accepted as a learning opportunity and should lead to progressively higher levels of performance and eventual success. The level of emotional success is based on our own choices and attitudes. Some people get easily sidelined by challenges along the way, whereas others are able to come out with flying colors. Emotionally successful people follow certain golden rules:
They take calculated steps to achieve goals and desires to become the ruler of their own destiny. They take control and decide to make things happen for them rather than sitting back and letting life to take its course.
- They adopt flexible ways with an open mind and adjust to the circumstances.
- They treat mistakes as tools for improvement rather than letting them define. Mistakes often offer valuable lessons that can be used to improve one-self in future.
- They set and write out their goals to have a clear direction and plan for achieving their dreams.
- They learn to accept themselves as crucial to being happy and believe that strength comes from within. They resist the urge to look for acceptance from others.
- They strive to keep their stress levels under control by doing exercises, talking to a friend or by keeping aloof for some time.
- They resist the urge to become a control freak and instead let go of the little inconveniences, upsets, and disappointments that come along the way. Stressing and fretting over circumstances one cannot control or which do not really matter in the big picture drains your mental reserves and wear you down.
Success, above all, requires time and effort and its path may sometimes to be daunting or even frightening. Once you dare to move to achieve, anxiety and fear dissipate in the name of action. Success comes from focus by ensuring that your time is used efficiently and productively. Make certain your efforts are dedicated to tasks that get results.
Everyone fails in life, and failure can be a crushing experience. The only thing that separates successful people from the rest is how they respond after they fail. Do not be afraid to take risks but at the same time do not seek perfection as your target which does not exist.
“Success often comes to those who dare & act, it seldom goes to the timid”
Quote by – Late Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Former & the First Prime Minister of India
