In today’s competitive world we want to jump on every opportunity without recognizing our strengths and desires. As a result we choose a career which we do not enjoy and later regret. We get so caught up in life that before we know it, it’s too late to take corrective steps. This can only lead to failure and that cause depression, stress and low self-esteem. This brings to realising the importance of self-esteem, as we need to first regroup to properly begin. In order to regain our hidden qualities we have to first rebuild our inner strength and good self-esteem. The idea is to identify our own self-worth. Not to feel bad about areas where we don’t add up to what we thought we would. Identifying our strengths will help us to value our-self better. It will also help to uncover our treasures and strengthen our weaknesses.
To develop self-esteem, always have positive attitude towards life; always try to find positivity in negativity. It will provide enormous strength to fight the odds. You must keep in mind that the problem is not the issue; it is your attitude towards the problem that matters.
- Surround yourself with positive people as being in their company will change your thinking from negative to positive and inner peace will start pouring in.
- Write down your achievements and read them occasionally. It will boost your morale and confidence.
- Follow your hobbies and do more of the activities you love.
- Always be creatively alive in every situation and be happy.
- Happiness opens up all the ways.
- Respect and love yourself and the world will do same for you.
- Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are a winner.
- Stop placing other people above yourself in value and worth.
- Never allow anyone to victimise you.
- Develop a strong belief in yourself and stop comparing with others.
- In a world of individuals comparison is a senseless activity.
- It is impossible to be like everyone else and still be your own person.
- Remember you are unique in this world.
- Every individual has his own beauty and each mind has its own method.
- So believe in your strength.
- Be thankful for any praise you get. If someone praises you, acknowledge it.
- Most of the time we prefer not to take credit of good work done by us. When we do this we are, indirectly, telling our brain that we do not value ourselves.
