Last Minute Tips and Tricks for RRB Group D Exam Preparation

The first thing that anyone needs to do who is opting for RRB group D is to go through the RRB Group D exam pattern and syllabus. Otherwise, you will not be able to create a proper plan of how to plan your preparation.

The RRB Group D examination is a two-tier examination where the first phase of the recruitment procedure is CBT i.e a Computer Based Test. Therefore, the competitors who will clear the first stage of the examination will then further be called for the PET i.e Physical Efficiency Test. The Physical Efficiency Test is qualifying in character. To make sure that one gets selected, one must have to score marks as high as possible in the first phase of the examination i.e the CBT also known as a computer-based test.

The Computer Based Test has a total of four sections which are given below :

-Mathematics

-General Intelligence and Reasoning

-General Science

-General Awareness and Current Affairs

  • Mathematics
  1. First, one needs to begin with the basic and easy topics that require the application of formulas or any kind of simple calculations such as LCM, HCF, Percentage, Average, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss etc.
  1. One needs to try out a few questions for practice from each of the topics that are on the syllabus to make sure that he or she has understood the application of formulas.
  1. Then one can try some of the slightly hard topics such as Time, Simplification, Time and Work, Distance and Speed, Pipes and Cisterns, Boats and Streams, etc., the topics that need some kind of significant approach towards it. Clear up on all the theories behind all the hard topics and try to solve as many questions for practice as possible.
  1. One can keep the extensively hard topics like Probability, Statistics and Combination, Permutation, etc., for the last of preparation.
  1. One always needs to keep their focus more on the topics that they are weak in and topics in which they are making most of the errors.
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning
  1. Assign some of your time from your daily life to do the practice questions from some of the simplest topics that just require some common sense, like Distance and Directions, Classification, Blood Relations, Analogy, Puzzles etc.
  1. For the narrowly hard topics like Seating Arrangements, Syllogism, Input-Output, Coding-Decoding, Assertion and Reasoning, Number and Alphabet Series, Statement-Based Questions etc. Clear up the simple and basic theories that are behind those topics and as well as even brush up the steps to solve them. Then try to solve as many problems as possible.
  1. One needs to keep calm while doing the problems for this section of the paper. The problems may seem confusing at times. But with a systematic approach to it, one will be able to solve those problems.
  • General Science
  1. Get clear on all the concepts and concepts from the topics of Class 9 and Class 10 textbooks of your Science subjects.
  1. In this section, there are some things that need to be memorized and remembered like simple equations, scientific names, and formulas, methods, several procedures, one needs to spend extra time and practice on them.
  1. One can also try and solve the problems to test their knowledge.
  • General Awareness and Current Affairs
  1. For the part of current affairs, one can concentrate on the events of national and international significance from the past six months. Then you need to give extra attention to the topics such as Economy, Politics, Budget Business, Science, several policies, and Technology and many more.
  1. Then start to read and learn the information that is connected to the most crucial General Science topics.
