5 Reasons To Move To San Diego

Last Updated on January 28, 2021 by Bharat Saini

If you’re considering a move to somewhere with warmer weather, and a more relaxed culture, then you can’t go far wrong with San Diego.

The birthplace of California is well known for its warm year-round climate, and its parks and beaches. Located just to the north of the Mexican border, San Diego is a great spot to locate yourself whether you want to stay based in the city or explore some of the beautiful surrounding areas.

Beautiful weather

San Diego’s climate is agreeable to most people! It averages 266 days of sunshine over the course of a year, and the temperature rarely dips below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

The climate is mostly quite dry and arid, which means that in the summer there is less humidity than in other places, and in the winter it’s drier and less severe. Any extremes of heat tend to be compensated for by the closeness to the Pacific Ocean, meaning that the climate is usually pretty moderate while still being ideal for beachgoers.

San Diego Bay

Perhaps the most breathtaking part of San Diego is the bay. San Diego bay is a natural harbor and deep water port, which stretches 12 miles in length and around 3 miles in width.

Not only is it stunning to look at, but the bay is also host to a lively nightlife, teeming with bars, hotels, and the San Diego Convention Center.

If you want to make the most of San Diego, living in close proximity to the bay would be a good place to start. In fact, you could even get yourself a luxury apartment with views overlooking the bay! Allegro Towers is the only downtown high-rise apartment community in San Diego, and the views from its windows boast gorgeous sweeping views of the bay and the surrounding areas. Beaches

With 17 miles of coastline, it’s no surprise that San Diego is well-known for its beaches! Whether you want to indulge in some water sports, play a game of volleyball, or just relax on a sun lounger, San Diego has the perfect beach for you.

Great hiking trails

San Diego really is the perfect place for anyone who adores being outside. The numerous San Diego hiking trails vary in difficulty from the easy to the downright challenging, and you can choose from a variety of different landscapes to explore.

Walking through Torrey Pines State Park offers dramatic views of the ocean and the option of trails along the beach, while Los Penasquitos Canyon Trail allows you to get up into the hills and enjoy waterfalls and streams.

Relaxed culture

The thing that residents of San Diego love the most is its relaxed culture. Unless you’re going out to one of the city’s high end restaurants, it’s completely acceptable, normal even, to walk about town in shorts and flip flops.

People flock to San Diego because they prioritize quality of life, and it really shows in the friendly nature of the people who call it their home.
